GETTING TO KNOW THE PEACEFUL SIDE
The Smoky Mountain Tourism Development Authority serves as the tourism arm of the Blount Partnership that works to attract travelers and visitors to Blount County.
As part of their efforts to promote tourism events and activities within the region, their team approached us to create a series of targeted ads for social media and broadcast in various markets across the U.S. This project scope was packed full of deliverables since we’d be running ads across TV, Facebook and Instagram in feed and story formats.
The Blount County side of the Smoky Mountains is affectionately referred to as the Peaceful Side of the Smokies. We took that to heart and created some concepts that would showcase what the area has to offer to our three target audiences – millennials, families and empty-nesters.
For this project, we spent a couple days running around the beautiful Peaceful Side of the Smokies in Townsend. Using some fun-loving talent, we captured shots at several of the areas premier attractions, wineries and restaurants. 10+ locations later, we had a the makings of a beautiful content archive for not only the ads we were creating but for future social media content as well (our mantra as a content creation agency).
One of the things that sets us apart from many other production companies is our unique in-house ability to build and manage effective digital marketing campaigns with the content we create. That being the case, once we got the deliverables edited and ready to roll, we went to work spinning up a kick-butt campaign to target potential visitors and travelers who we thought would have a great time in Townsend and surrounding areas.
