Katelyn, a Colorado native, moved to Knoxville in June 2023 with her husband and two dogs. Inspired by her role as a photographer and videographer during an international volunteer program, she discovered a passion for visual storytelling. She earned her B.S. in Strategic Communications with a concentration in Social Media Management from Liberty University. Now, as a social media + digital coordinator at Big Slate Media, Katelyn leverages her skills to strategize and create compelling content for our digital marketing clients, combining her love for storytelling and strategy. 

From a young age, Katelyn explored every creative avenue possible. Her grandma taught her to paint, her mom taught her how to draw, and she learned how to use a camera from her dad. In elementary school, she spent the evenings “recording” a radio show with her sister, “The Cheese and Pie Talk Talk Show” (trademark pending…) which, thankfully, was never actually recorded. While the riveting podcast never found its way to the public, Katelyn now spends her free time creating her own content on YouTube and various other social media platforms.
