For 25 years, William Wright’s music has been streamed, screened, staged, and performed around the world. A Berklee College of Music grad, his career has spanned film scoring, sound design, sonic branding, and sound art. In the advertising space, he’s received multiple Gold Addys for Music and Sound Design. Outside of visual media, he’s composed for everything from circus acts and podcasts to parades, plays, contemporary ballet, and even a book. His works have premiered at Big Ears, London Fashion Week, and global New Music and Film festivals.
William is in a committed relationship with sweater weather, sad songs, slow cinema, physical media, sweet coffee, college sports, contemporary art – and, of course, puppetry. As Music Director of the National Puppetry Conference, he leads composers in collaborating with puppeteers from across the globe. He’s also a longtime film critic, sports columnist, and, most importantly, a proud dad and husband to his wonderful family.
