Day has always been passionate about making something out of nothing and learning from talented creatives. This led him to Lee University, where he received his Bachelor of Applied Science in Digital Media and Studio Production. He also played college rugby, which means he’s probably the toughest guy on our crew.
After graduation, he and his wife Hannah moved to Knoxville where he began his career in the production world. After several years working in the field, he’s found his way to the Slate and our run-and-gun content team focused on short-form video content. Day thrives on fast-paced shoots where he can capture compelling shots in the moment, specifically at live events. Back in the office, you can tell if he’s really vibing with one of his edits when you see him bobbing his head at his desk (or maybe he’s just jamming to EST Gee or Summer Walker).
In his free time, you can find Day practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu and kickboxing (like we said, the dude is TOUGH), listening to all types of music, laughing, and living life to the fullest.
